Hi , When creating a new web site , I always include a basic graphic logo like the one at the top of this page. So if that is all you need then we may well have the affordable solution you are looking for .

I am no artist but can get by with Dreamweaver Fireworks and occasionally PainshopPro for creating these , it only takes about an hour to drum up a basic logo . It can always be changed / tweaked or embellished upon at a later date , the idea is to create a presentable working site that does the job . If you want a more detailed logo with photos or computer generated images then i will usually refer you , or contract it out to a third party. All graphics i create are optimised and are usually well below 10K , i would recommend any webmaster to optimise the size of their graphics as it can put off your visitors if they have to wait a long time for a webpage to load . Dreamweaver comes with a graphic optimiser utility which can squash a file to a fraction of it's original size without compromising on quality .

For animated images - .gifs paintshop pro is excellent , the animation studio allows you to create each frame of your animation and even provides image and text transitions like dissolves , fading , pixelation and exploding automatically . So it's possible to create some very professional results , in a short time . Most of my logos are static as flashing ones can be a little annoying but it is useful if for example you have a several ideas to convey that would not otherwise fit in a small graphic.
